The 2016 Bella’s Cabernet Sauvignon jumps out of the glass with a complex blend of ripe olallieberry and quince paste on the nose. Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon (at 98%) the wine benefits greatly from the 2% Merlot blended in for its bright fruit and softer structure. The mid palate’s richness, exhibiting both sweet and umami attributes, is reinforced by complimentary flavors reminiscent of toasted cacao nibs. Softly lilting on the palate, each of Bella’s most alluring attributes comes to the foreground before slowly disappearing into the ether.
