The 2018 Sonoma Coast offering from Montagne Russe exhibits all that is good with Sonoma Pinot Noir without the price point that makes it inaccessible! Ripe cherries, raspberries, rose petals and pipe tobacco are on the nose, and carry through in the palate. It has all the structure and acid you could want with a mouthfeel and weight that are sure to please. This wine makes you want another bottle, after you wonder where the first went.

Montagne Russe is one of those producers that I think all wine drinkers need to know about-but I’m really happy they don’t so that we can get our hands on it! This is a super small production winery, based out of Petaluma, that sources fruit from some excellent, small growers.
